Hi, I’m Brenna!

As a yoga therapist and instructor based in Milwaukee, movement has always been a part of my life. From my early tee-ball days to playing every sport imaginable growing up, I’ve always felt most at home when I was active and connected to my body.

My relationship with yoga began after experiencing a severe back injury and later deepened during each yoga training I undertook. At first, I was drawn to how good the movement made my body feel. But what surprised me most was the effect yoga had on my mind — the sense of calm, quiet, and grounding I felt through movement and breath work. Yoga became more than exercise; it became a way to reconnect with myself physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I began teaching group yoga classes in 2017 while also being a stay-at-home mom. Since then, my path has continued to grow through both education and experience. As a lifelong learner, I’m always seeking opportunities to deepen my understanding and better support the people I work with.

I earned my Master’s in Liberal Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2005, completed my 200-hour RYT certification in 2021, and my 300-hour RYT certification in 2023. In 2025, I became an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist after completing more than 1,050 hours of therapeutic training and internship experience.

Today, I teach multiple yoga classes each week through Milwaukee Recreation, including yin, gentle, and chair yoga. I also work one-on-one with clients through Integration Healing in partnership with the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Department, supporting individuals using yoga in a mental health and therapeutic setting.

What I love most about this work is helping people build practical tools for their well-being — tools that support resilience, self-awareness, and healing both on and off the mat.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy filling my life with creativity and motion. Whether I’m exploring the city with my family, working on my golf game, or crocheting handmade gifts for others, I find that my peace always comes back to the basics: moving the body, connecting the breath, and focusing the mind.
